Who we are

PowerPartPicker LLC (“we”) operates Power Part Picker. We are based in Arkansas, United States. Contact support@powerpartpicker.com with privacy questions.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

• Account information: email address, authentication credential (stored by our sign-in provider), username, and whether the account is anonymous or registered.
• Saved builds and preferences you choose to store.
• Content you submit: site or build feedback, optional screenshots, catalog edit suggestions, and missing-product URLs.
• Usage data: pages viewed, button clicks, builder funnel events, browser type, referring URL, and a session identifier. Firebase Analytics, when configured, receives a numeric user id for registered accounts (not your email).
• Technical logs needed to run and secure the service, including IP address as seen by our hosts.

Cookies and similar storage

We use a small set of first-party cookies and browser storage so the site can function. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not show a cookie-consent popup.

• Sign-in: an httpOnly session cookie and a CSRF cookie so authenticated API requests work securely.
• Route markers: cookies that only record whether you have a session and whether it is a registered account, so login-gated pages can redirect correctly.
• Firebase Authentication stores tokens in browser storage so you stay signed in.
• Optional product analytics may keep a random session id in sessionStorage (cleared when the browser tab session ends). That is not a tracking cookie.

How we use information

We use information to provide the catalog, builder, calculator, accounts, and support features; to keep the service secure; to understand which parts of the product are used; to review community submissions and feedback; and to communicate with you about your account when needed.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers that help us run the product, including hosting, database, file storage, authentication, error monitoring, and (when you use AI features) model providers. Those providers process data on our instructions.

If you click a retailer Buy link, you leave our site and that retailer’s privacy policy applies. We do not send your account email to retailers when you click those links.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service, our users, or others from fraud or security threats.

Retention

We keep account and saved-build data while your account is open. Feedback, submissions, and analytics records are kept as long as needed to operate, review, and improve the service, then deleted or aggregated. You can ask us to close your account by emailing us.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
